First of all I wish you and your loved ones a very healthy, happy, joyful and amazing New Year 2016!

Milestones, like the beginning of a new year, invite us to pause and ponder on how we are doing.

You may have planted seeds of your dreams last fall. If you have, I encourage you to review what you planted, add, change, and dream up new dreams.

Take this beginning of a new calendar year as an opportunity to go within. Explore what is important to you, what makes you happy, what bring you fulfillment and joy. When you become clear on what those things are, set the intention to begin including those in your life. Try not to get discouraged by challenges but do your best to learn from the situation. Find out what your needs are and ask others for help and support along the way.
Listen to your heart, go in the direction of your dreams!

To greet the first day of the new year I invite you to consider the following ideas:

1. Tell others you love them
You may call or visit loved ones today to wish them a happy new year. When you do, I encourage you to tell them how much they mean to you. Shower them with your love and appreciation! You will make their start into the new year a happy one.

2. Take a mindful walk in nature
Greet the first day of the new year out in nature. Go on a walk with your loved one or by yourself and silently send out your love and gratitude to all the things you appreciate in nature…. the birds, ocean, trees, grass, sky, sun, clouds, moon, stars, streams, gravel, light, etc. You may see the beauty of nature in a (new) light of gratitude.

3. Yoga New Year Salutation
Welcome the new year on your yoga mat. Go through a few poses, mindfully connecting your movements to your breath. Maybe even flow through a few “New Year Salutations”. Make it fun. Enjoy your practice and at the end take some time to sit in a comfortable position and see how you feel. What are you grateful for? Sit for another few moments, listen to your heart, and feel the gratitude for the blessings in your life expand your heart with love and appreciation.

May all your wishes come true and may 2016 be a year of happiness, fulfillment, love, abundance, and joy for you!

Fondly,

Tanja
