It’s so important to own the right mat for your yoga practice.
After many years of trying out different brands of yoga mats, it is time for me to find my soul mat.
And I want to support you in finding the right mat for you!
In case you missed my previous reviews of the Manduka PRO and Manduka eKO mat, you can find them on my blog.
Today’s review features the Manduka eko SuperLite travel mat.
The mat arrived sealed and in optimal condition. The zuri (pink) color is absolutely stunning and the mat is unbelievably light (about 2.2 lbs).
It is made from sustainable harvested tree rubber, and is free of chemicals and toxins. The dimensions of the mat are 68”x 24″ and it is 1.5 mm thick.
Although I prefer the additional length, width and thickness of the Manduka PRO and eKO mats, I am very pleased with the size of this travel mat. Especially considering the amazing fact that you can fold it in your travel bag, purse or suitcase and it travels with you easily and effortlessly. No extra yoga bag needed and it hardly adds any weight to your suitcase in case you hop on an airplane.
The surface texture offers outstanding grip the first time you get on this mat. It supports you in your poses by preventing you from slipping and I enjoyed hanging out in Downward Dog on this mat. I am pleasantly surprised and grateful that such a light and fold-able mat can offer these essential qualities. In addition Manduka promises that the material resists tearing or stretching. I have only used the mat once but so far I am impressed! I noticed that my practice leaves light marks on the mat, yet they can be easily wiped off with a microfiber cloth and some yoga mat spray.
I love the Manduka eko SuperLite travel mat and would definitely recommend it to you, dear yogi. It is excellent for all traveling yogis and yogis on the go. Take your practice to new exciting and wonderful places!

Many blessings and Namasté,
Tanja
